Our Residency At A Glance

Since 1974, the Advocate Christ Family Medicine Residency Program has been training Family Physicians who are leaders both locally and nationally. We seek to meet the needs of our region by training family physicians who will serve primarily as clinicians, and who will be competent and motivated to provide community-oriented primary care to the underserved.

We are dedicated to giving physicians a postgraduate education that will prepare them in the comprehensive, continuous, and personal health care of the highest quality to patients and their families in a variety of settings. We strive to ground graduates in the practice of evidence-based medicine in a holistic fashion – to prepare physicians who will be proficient both in the art and the science of medicine – and thus to be instrumental in meeting the healthcare objectives of our nation.

With that in mind, we have developed a widely comprehensive and rigorous curriculum to ensure that our residents can provide care in any setting that they choose.
